Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari

Manoj Bajpayee’s comedy movie ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ set to release on this Diwali

Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh will unite on the screen as their upcoming movie “Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari” is all set to release on November 13, 2020 in India. The movie is one of the big films to be released on Diwali this year. The first poster of this movie has released yesterday (Oct 12) and shows the confirmed release date.

The poster has the name of the movie designed with traditional Indian constellations. The picture also uses a microscope to point out the connection between the film and the Indians’ fascination with astrology.

“Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari” is a family-comedy film starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma, produced by Shariq Patel and Subhash Chandra, under the banners Zee Studios and Essel Vision Productions.

The film’s cast also includes Annu Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Karishma Tanna, Manoj Pahwa, Manuj Sharma, Neha Pendse, Neeraj Sood, Seema Pahwa, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Vanshika Sharma and Vijay Raaz.

Director Abhishek Sharma has confirmed that the background of this movie is the 90s. Actor Manoj Bajpayee is playing a role of wedding detective who conducts background checks on the groom, which was normal during that time. There was a time when there was no mobile phone or social media and people had to handle everything themselves. This is very similar to the movie made by Hrishkesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee. This is a clean family comedy. This is an interesting movie, but not a farce. This is a kind of social irony.

The title of the movie is derived using word playback technology. This point to the fact that people talk more about Rashi (zodiac sign) and Kundali (horoscope) at the wedding. At the same time, it is about the hilarious chase game between Suraj (character played by Diljit) and Mangal (character played by Manoj).
