Canada Life has launched its new “Business Boost” program on Wednesday (Oct 28). The new program will support small businesses in Canada through 12 one-time grants of CAD 10,000.
Small businesses are facing more adversity than ever before, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Although some companies have changed their models to continue to provide services to customers, many companies are facing huge challenges and are working hard to keep their doors open.
Therefore, Canada Life created the Business Boost program to provide financial support for small businesses, which may make a difference. The company is accepting applications through its official website (www.canadalife.com). All applicants are required to complete their application online by November 12, 2020. The name of recipients will be announced in January 2021.
Small businesses only need to tell the company some information about themselves and what positive changes a one-time grant of CAD 10,000 can bring to them. The final 12 winners will be announced in the New Year, so they can enter into 2021 with some additional financial help and support.
Mr. Jeff Macoun, President and Chief Operating Officer of Canada Life, has said in his statement on Oct 28, “Small businesses are an integral part of the Canadian economy and are at the core of our communities. At Canada Life, we recognize both the challenges they have faced and the determination they have shown in working to overcome challenges that came with the pandemic this year.”
